I was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy at the age of three, and at the age of six I was diagnosed with a severe case of scoliosis and a double heart murmur. I was 36 pounds at age seven so I had to be force fed by G-tube until age 11. My scoliosis was crushing my organs and I was given six months to live. Shortly after Dr.Erickson gave me two choices one I can have a short life laying in my bed or have a long life in my wheelchair, I chose life.
After I had a partial fusion my curve went to 80% to 40%. Every year till I was thirteen I had a rod lengthening. This past year I had my last spinal surgery, and recently can feel my feet and legs!
I wanted to help donate to hearts because when I had heart murmurs it was hard for me to go out and do things. So I want the other doctors to help other kids.
