I ride to support The Gene Team and Camp Spirit!
I was born with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa, and have lived with it for the past 20 years. For the last few years I have participated in whatever ways possible to fight my disease and am glad to finally be able to add the Courage Classic to my list.
Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa is a devastating skin disease that effects our bodies from head to toe inside and out. It doesn't have a cure and I am riding to help support families with EB in the meantime through the EB family assistance fund.
I learned about the courage classic through Camp Spirit, a winter adventure camp for kids with EB. Camp Spirit taught me many of the skills I needed not just to ride the Courage Classic but to live a wonderful and full life. It is the place where I learne how to take care of myself all while meeting amazing people along the way that convinced me Colorado was the place to be. Since then I have moved out to Denver to attend Regis University where I am studying History and Education.
Camp Spirit and the EB fund changed my life so please consider donating and following along as I ride for The Gene Team!
