This July I will be cycling almost 80 miles among the mountains of Copper, Leadville, Minturn, and Vail to raise money for the Children's Hospital of Colorado.
My nephew Eli was born at CHC in July 2018 under the immediate care of their cardiac team as a non-cancerous mass was discovered on his heart in utero. The potential for complications throughout my sister-in-law's pregnancy, not to mention the emotional stress, was quite difficult for our entire family and everyday was an absolute challenge. Fortunately the specialty teams at CHC guided us through each step along the way, ensuring all essential tests were being performed and doing everything necessary to prepare for Eli's due date. It was amazing to see so many clinicians approach one unique case with sheer focus and determination, but I knew that other families were getting the exact same care.
I never got a chance to thank any of the doctors who were there, on-the-ready, the day that Eli was born a happy and healthy baby! But this is my way to give back now, so I am asking you to help me in my efforts to raise money for CHC as I ride with the "Cardiac Climbers" Team this summer.
Thank you so much for your support!
