Summer....in my world, the season of watermelon, camping, gardening, popsicles and biking. Lots of biking!
Of all the great riding I get to do each year, it's most fun when I have a goal knowing I am raising money for a great cause. This year, I'm honored to be part of the Kempe for Kids team riding in the 2-day Courage Classic! The Kempe Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect is part of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and is recognized as a world leader that is finding innovative ways to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect.
My good friend Kathi was recently was selected as the new Executive Director for the Kempe Center and Kempe Foundation. I've known Kathi for several years through biking and through a neighborhood community, and I've earned an incredible amount of respect for the hard work she does every day on behalf of the kids that are struggling with child abuse and neglect across Colorado.
