I ride because I am a cancer patient and have received amazing care at Children's Hospital Colorado.
I was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma when I was 13, on the second day of 8th grade. After seven months of treatment I was cancer free.
I relapsed two years later when I was 15. On my first day of 10th grade, I was in surgery getting my second port placed.
I relapsed again two months ago on May 30th. I am currently undergoing chemo. I am 17 and will start my Senior year at Boulder High in August. I plan on riding on the mountain bike team for my fourth year, graduate on time and go to college in the fall of 2020. I know it won't be easy.
I would like to be the Courage Classic's top fundraiser this year. I have been one of the top ten fundraisers all four years I have ridden. Please help me reach my goal.
If you would like to follow my journey go to caring bridge and search for "Team Martha".
Thank you so much!
