I am supporting the Dare to Ride Team organized by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation to support the Anna and John J. Sie Center for Down Syndrome at Children's Hospital Colorado, one of the largest pediatric medical care centers for Down syndrome in the world. As part of the Courage Classic, I will ride through the mountains to raise funds for continued research and care for people with Down syndrome. I hope to raise money and awareness to support research and programming so badly needed to improve the quality of life of those effected.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist I have the opportunity to help many children, teens, and adults with speech, language, and feeding skills that will equip them for learning success and independence. Every child I meet deserves the opportunity to live a full life including higher education, employment, and independent living.
Groundbreaking research at The Children's Hospital Colorado and the Sie Center for Down syndrome will have a tremendous impact for those with and without Down syndrome. Dementia and Alzheimer's disease will impact us all. Most all people with Down syndrome will experience early onset dementia and Alzheimer's disease by the age of 40. Please help us and many more as we raise awareness and funds for Down syndrome and Alzheimer's research. I hope to raise more thanthe minimum amount money for those who rock the 21st chromosome!!
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children and adults!
Thank you for your support,
