Why I ride
I am riding in the Courage Classic for kids like my friend Madelyn, my little brother, Jayce and to continue to push myself with my recent diagnosis of Scoliosis and the many other kids facing health challenges.
2019 has brought a new chapter and challenge for me, but one that with God’s grace I know I'll conquer! In April I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Scoliosis and Anterolisthesis. They immediately deemed I was a prime candidate for a scoliosis brace in an effort to prevent my curve from getting worse and hoping to avoid a spinal surgery. I'll wear my brace (named ‘Sidekick’ by my Daddy) for 18-22 hours a day until I'm done growing, which the doctors estimate to be about two years. We are incredibly grateful for the fact that although this will be a huge adjustment for me, I can still take it off to do the things I love like dance, cycling and playing volleyball!
