2020 would have been my 7th year riding in the Courage Classic with Team Arc Thrift Classics (formerly Team Jelly Belly for Kids and formerly formerly Team AHEC). The Courage Classic is always a highlight of my summer, having the opportunity to ride through our beautiful Colorado mountains...and doing it for a good cause. I've made great friends and had truly memorable experiences because of this ride, but I don't just do it for me...
We are so fortunate in the Denver metro area to have a world class children's hospital in our backyard. We have access to experts in so many different fields of pediatrics. Team Arc Thrift Classics rides specifically to support the Neuroscience Institute at CHC, an area near and dear to my heart after my son, Tyler, was diagnosed with migraine headaches a couple of years ago. I feel lucky that Tyler's migraines seem to have gone away, at least for the time being, but I know that if they return, we have the best of the best ready to help us.
Funds raised from this event support everything from up and coming research at CHC to helping ensure that no child is turned away for their ability to pay. Additionally, it helps support families who have to endure long-term stays at the hospital. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for CHC, and every dollar helps.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Courage Classic ride...I promise lots of good karma will ensue!
