Why I ride
I'm riding for kids like my nephew Cash. In October 2012 doctors discovered a 2" tumor in his brain. The tumor was successfully removed and after several months of chemo he is was showing NED (No evidence of disease) on all his check ups. Unfortunantly that changed recently with the discovery of new tumors so the fight begins again. What can I say about the staff at Children's other than they are pretty incredible. From the surgeons, oncologists, nurses, social workers, support staff and countless others, the treatment and support that Cash and our family have received is nothing less than top notch.
I'm not a caregiver so what can I do? I have a strong belief that we should give back to our community and I happen to love riding my bike. The Courage Classic is perfect for me, a chance to raise money and ride my bike. Now it's your turn.
My goal is to raise at least $1500 and I need your help. It's as easy as grabbing your credit card and clicking on the big green "Donate to My Ride" button. You pay, I sweat and in the end the kids and their families at Children's Hospital are the winners. Courage Classic fundraising supports the Children's Fund for Children's Hospital Colorado and the Hospital Sports Program.
